Murder and Mayhem Book Club
 - This month’s book selection is Long Haul: Hunting the Highway Serial Killers by Frank Figliuzzi. April’s book will be Midnight in Chernobyl: The Untold Story of the World’s Greatest Nuclear Disaster by Adam Higginbotham. Books are available for checkout in both physical and digital format. Murder and Mayhem Book Club meets on the first Thursday of every month. Community members may also join the club’s Facebook group. Art Workshop
 - Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is partnering with the Bradbury Art Museum to offer a special hands-on art workshop for tweens in grades 4 to 6. During this workshop with BAM, tweens will explore the historic photographic process of cyanotype and create their own sun-powered works of art. Using light-sensitive paper, tweens will arrange objects and watch as the sun transforms the surface, changing the color of the paper while preserving the silhouettes of anything that blocks the light. The workshop is designed specifically for students in grades 4 through 6 and provides a unique opportunity to learn from professional museum educators while engaging in hands-on artmaking. Registration is not required.

Intro to 3-D Printing
 - Designed for ages 13 and up, this engaging session will introduce participants to the fundamentals of 3-D printing technology. Guests will learn how 3-D printers work, how to operate them safely, proper maintenance techniques, and the basics of creating custom 3-D designs. The program will be led by Chris Turner of the NEA 3-D Printing Club, who will share expertise and practical insights into the rapidly growing field of additive manufacturing. Whether attendees are curious beginners or looking to expand their technical skills, this workshop offers a valuable introduction in a supportive, educational environment. - Tweens are invited to step into a world of imagination as they prepare for a fantasy quest. Activities include creating magic amulets, crafting torches, designing maps, and building other adventurer tools to bring their journey to life. This is for tweens in grades 4-6. March Storytimes at Jonesboro Public Library 
(Jonesboro, AR) The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library invites families to join in weekly Storytimes throughout the month of March in the Children’s Department. Storytimes are held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and are designed to support early literacy and childhood development through stories, songs, and interactive activities.

Jonesboro Library Hosts Weekly Adult Fitness & Creative Programs
(Jonesboro, AR) The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is encouraging the community to start the new year with healthy habits by participating in its free weekly fitness and creative programs. The library offers welcoming programs focused on movement, mindfulness, creativity, and connection, no prior experience required.
Yoga: Mind and Body Fitness is a low-impact yoga and meditation class designed to be accessible for all fitness levels. Classes are held Mondays from 5:00 to 5:50 p.m. in the Round Room.
Zumba invites participants to get their heart pumping while dancing their way to fitness in a fun, high-energy environment. Classes take place Thursdays from 5:00 to 5:50 p.m. in the Round Room.
In addition to fitness offerings, the library hosts creative clubs that promote relaxation and community:
  • Knitting & Cross-Stitch Clubs: Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. in the Genealogy Area
  • Sketchbook Club: Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. in the Civic League Room
All programs are free and open to the public, offering an inclusive space for adults looking to build healthy routines, explore creativity, and connect with others during the winter months.



Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library Announces New Community Food Pantries  
(Jonesboro, AR) The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library is proud to announce the addition of two new community food pantries, manufactured and donated by Best Manufacturing. These pantries are part of the library’s ongoing effort to support local families and provide accessible resources to the community.
The food pantries are located behind the Security Desk and Teenhub Area. Patrons may take three to four items at a time to help meet their immediate needs. The teen pantry is specifically designated for youth-friendly snacks such as granola bars, fruit cups, and crackers, providing students and young visitors with quick, easy nourishment during their time at the library.
The library will accept community donations year-round to help keep both pantries stocked. Suggested donation items include canned goods, pasta, cereal, oatmeal, snack bars, and other non-perishable foods. Donations can be dropped off at the main circulation desk during regular library hours.
“The library is more than just a place for books, it’s a cornerstone of community support,” said Vanessa Adams, Library Director. “We’re grateful to Best Manufacturing for coming to us and making this vision a reality and to our patrons whom we love to serve.”
