Snakes are an important to the ecosystem, and many that live in Arkansas make Crowley's Ridge State Park their home. Join a park interpreter to learn about the snakes of Arkansas and get a chance to meet one! Meet at the campfire circle across from the tent campsite.

NATURE WATCH KAYAK TOUR
There's more to Walcott Lake than meets the eye. Float on the water and watch the animals that make Crowley's Ridge State Park their homes go about their evening. No experience is necessary. Space is limited. Registration is required. Reigstration ends at noon on Saturday, May 13. Please register at the Visitor Center or by calling the Visitor Center. Exact cash is accepted at the time of the tour. Payment with a card is due at the time of registration. For more information, please call the park at 870-573-6751. Please bring plenty of water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Please wear something that you would not mind getting wet. Meet at Lake Walcott fishing pier. Fee - Adult: $18 plus tax ($19.78 total); Child 6-12: $12 plus tax ($13.19 total)

FORAGED BEVERAGE TASTE TEST
Taste nature in your mouth with pine needle soda. Join a park interpreter for a demonstration of making pine needle soda and for the taste test. Disclaimer: Pine needle beverage is a fun experiment of capturing wild yeast. If you have a known allergy to pine trees, it is not recommended that you attend this program. Meet at the campfire circle across from the tent campsite.

Poetry is made easy with a park interpreter. Let's take a hike and use nature as inspiration for a fun poetry composition. The trail that we will hike is to be announced. We will hike part of the Dancing Rabbit Trail which is moderate difficulty. Please wear weather-appropriate shoes and clothing and bring plenty of water. Meet at the campground bathhouse.

Have you ever wanted to kayak but don't know how? Join a park interpreter for a test drive on the water. Participants must wear a provided life jacket. Meet at Lake Walcott.

Practice your casting with a game of backyard bass. Warm-up your fishing arm by catching grass-dwelling plastic fish. This is a drop-in program. Feel free to stop by whenever you like. Meet at Lake Ponder swim beach.
