FREE FISHING WEEKEND
Enjoy the free fishing weekend in Arkansas at Crowley's Ridge State Park! Residents and nonresidents may fish anywhere in Arkansas from noon Friday, June 9, until midnight Sunday night, June 11, 2023, without fishing licenses or trout permits. Regulations for Arkansas waters apply, including daily limits, slot limits and length limits must be observed. Loaner poles are available to borrow at the Visitor Center. Grab your dad and celebrate Father's Day with some dad jokes while on a hike. We will hike the 1.25-mile Dancing Rabbit Trail which is moderate difficulty. Please wear weather-appropriate shoes and clothing and bring plenty of water. Meet at the Dancing Rabbit Trailhead.

Different kinds of animals come out when swimmers go home. Join a park interpreter to discover Lake Ponder in a whole new way as the darkness of the nighttime blankets the park. Register at the Visitor Center or by calling 870-573-6751. Must be 18+ to register. Participants must wear a provided lifejacket. Meet at the Visitor Center. Price per boat: $12 + tax

Volunteers have been essential in creating and maintaining our state parks. Join park staff for a service day to recognize the centennial of Arkansas State Parks! Your service hours count towards the "100 Hours of Centennial Service" program and help you qualify for prizes! Projects may include trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and landscaping around our facilities (part of Keep Arkansas Beautiful). Please meet at the Visitor Center to register and receive instruction on what section of the park is needing attention. This is a drop-in event. We're happy to have you as long as you'd like! Meet at the Visitor Center.
