The Westside High School AFJROTC will be hosting a Terri Tyner Memorial Blood Drive at Westside High School on Tuesday, July 2nd from 9:30am-2pm.
WHS hosts a quarterly blood drive in honor of Terri Tyner, a Westside math teacher who passed away last year after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Because of the blood shortage during the pandemic, she was unable to get blood transfusions she needed in order to receive her chemo treatments. We are trying to prevent this from happening to others.
This is a free event. One blood donation can save up to three lives. Donors will receive free snacks and drinks and a complimentary limited-edition umbrella, as well as give Westside seniors the opportunity to earn scholarships.
Schedule your donation time on the Red Cross website or app.
